I wouldnt run a sled in the green, but believe it or not i have seen it done . There are miles of good bank access on the green for steelhead. Right under the highway 18 bridge and a 1/2 mile downstream is a good run. Other good places include flaming gueyser state park and palmer kanasket state park. My advice to you is to get a thomas guide and start driving, because no one will tell you thier favorite hole . This river requires time if you want to get into steelhead as it hosts small runs. Dont bother fishing for kings because they time the opening of the green so that all you catch are nasty beat up ones not even fit for the smoker. This river does host a generous run of silvers, which are mostly found below the auburn/black diamond bridge.
