Our troops overseas use fishing as a means to get away from the everyday grind of fighting a war. They use anything they can get their hands on to fish with, and most of it is home made. They use rods made from antennas, line made from parachute cord and bait from their MRE's. I was trying to set something up so that we could get them some quality tackle. After dealing with the Armed Services and the USO, I realized that shipping costs alone would not make this feasable. Luckily their is a company called The Worm Shack that has already set everything up. Dave Harris is the manager and they are a respected name in the fishing community. They were featured in an article in Bassmaster Magazine on fishing in Iraq. Their link is http://www.wormshack.com. I have already sent them a large amount of product and plan on sending more. They are looking for lures such as trout spinners, bass baits, hooks, line and just about anything else we use on a daily basis. This is a great cause, and I hope you will all join in and support our troops! Thank You.
