I know what you are talking about. I grew up tossing Pflueger colorado spinners with my dad on the Cedar Rv. Most of the hard-core NW spinner fishermen use the french-style spinner blades in size 3,4,4.5, 5 and a few in size 6. Pen-Tac or Mor-tac supply a wide range on size and finish, Mor-tac also makes a hammered finish(whichI happen to like alot). If a guy makes his own spinners there is no reason why colorado blades can't be installed, other than being a bit lighter than the french-style I don't see why they whould'nt work fine. One thought is that they might not reward the fisherman with as much feedback @ the rod tip as the other style due to the lighter weight, I'm sure they can work in the same RPM range, as I remember working those pflueger's thru some pretty choppy/fast water and nailing rainbow's alongside the old man........
