Why, in the name of the fishing Gods, would you fish with all your gear { tackle box, coat, coffee and rod} in the middle of a boat launch?

The story goes like this. A fella shows up to launch his boat and is sitting there waiting for you ,"you being the guumbah set up in the middle of the launch, to notice him but you are obviously ignoring the man driving the 1 ton 4x4 truck. So the man behind the wheel of a F-350 honks his horn yet you still ignore him. So the nice man slowly works his way past the door knob's gear narrowly missing it. He is nice cause a tackle box would prove no match for a fine American automobile like that.

Seem to see this from time to time. this is another one of those "why do people do it and why didn't your Daddy teach you any better" questions.

Anybody have a clue?
