I use the improved clinch knot when drifting with mono. No swivel. Just direct to the mainline through a piece of tubing with pencil lead. Easy to retie, no leader, and adjustable. I also use the blood knot to join the mono so I just have to replace half my spool.

I used braided with a bobber for the first time Saturday. So I used a polamar knot to the swivel and weight. Mono leader tied with an improved double clinch knot. I tried to tie the double clinch but apparently brought it back through by mistake. Seemed to work fine. Then an improved clinch knot to the hook.
