First of all let me say that the University of Washington has a study on Milk Thistle RIGHT now. And I have met two people that it reduced their viral load to an undetectable level. So there is some evidence that it DOES work.

I have been on the combination therapy for one month now. I put it of for various reasons. The most significant one was to start a family. Great success there. At first I could not even tell that I took a shot of Interferon, then it hit me like a ton of bricks. I felt real bad for the next two days after my injection. You just feel like hell. When I went in for my lab tests they discovered that I had reduced my white blood cell count to the bottom of the low range. I started injecting NEUPOGEN to boost white cells and it has gone back up. Today I feel PRETTY GOOD! A welcome relief. The drugs have many side effects, one of them blurry vision, and depression. Honestly, it makes you a little emotional. Some people get real depressed and want to commit suicide. I don't feel that way. They give you Prozac if you do. The main thing I would suggest is to be prepared, and talk about it.

The worst part is giving yourself the shots. It just reminds you of what you are going through, and that it may not even work.

Good luck to you if and when you start your treatment. If their is anything I can do don't hesitate to ask.
