Spin....Spin....Spin!

FDR had to deal with a small conflict called WWII. Not many people where buying cars during the '40s. Victory lead to the biggest economic boom in American history.

Nixon had to deal with a small conflict called Vietnam and a mess at home. He opened up the China market which put a lot of people to work and drimatically lowered the prices of everyday consumer goods. Read as Wallmart.

Reagan had to deal with a small conflict called communism. Victory there caused the larges Global boom in history. That did not end until Sept. 11, 2001. This allowed Clinton to close half of the military bases and cut intelligence spending also by half. This is how Clinton and a Republican lead Congress where able to balance the budget.

I'm not sure how any Bush policies created the environment that did not allow Boeing to sell as many airplanes thus laying off 40,000. I think that having their product turned into weapons of mass distruction had a little something to do with it. By the way Boeing is now hiring!

A free economy is when free people sell things to free people who buy them. Please explain to me how a President (any party) can make me decide to buy a new car? The way I see it the only impact a President can have on the economy is the following. 1) A free and secure state where I am not afraid of death. 2) Equal justice under the law where I am not afried of false persacution. And 3) tax cuts thus putting more money in my pocket and less in that other Washington!

In two of the three above examples Kerry simply does not pass the stink test!

p.s. I'll sure be glad when Tuesday is over. I also hope that whoever loses concedes in a timely matter and leaves the lawyers at home!!! On Wednesday I hope all Americans rally behind the President during these critical and difficult times!!! I can dream can't I???
