All purist BS aside.
If hatcheries can keep kids like mine loving nature, fishing with a passion, bonding with friends and family and out of trouble with the law, then Hell yes hatcheries are a good thing.
JMHO.
Easier said than done (purist BS), some people will always look at hatchery fish as inferior. Dr Brannon's articles are contrary in many ways to current perspectives. I wonder how much the models used by federal and state managers (or biologists) would change if his conclusions are correct?

It would sure give managers a powerful management tool to both protect wild stocks, and provide necessary harvest at the same time. What's wrong with that?
