Ditto on the reviews of Scott's cure.

I would also strongly agree that eggs cured in Amerman's will milk out very quickly, particularly if you don't dry them out before freezing them. They are designed to do that. I don't dry my eggs after curing them so normally only get about 3 casts from Amerman's eggs. As such, Amerman cured eggs are NOT a cure to use if you're not sure there are fish in a specific hole. That is, if you know the fish are in a hole (i.e., rolling/jumping), use Amerman's cured eggs. They're one of the best. However, if there is no evidence of salmon, use something that doesn't milk-out so quickly (for example 3:2:1 - borax/sugar/salt mix). Otherwise, you could quickly burn thru an entire quart jar of Amerman's eggs while fishing over an empty hole.

I normally bring at least two bags of cured eggs on the water. If a hole looks good but there isn't anything rolling, I will use either Nate's Bait cure, sugar/salt/borax, Bob's receipe (from this BB), or some other cure that produces eggs that are very durable. But if the fish are rolling, hit'em with Scott's eggs. And hang on!
