I doubt the author knows anything about the sport of salmon fishing. Ditto for the administration. All they care about is depleting the resource without sustaining it. They quote a bunch of bios to make the story seem scientific and then they put their spin on the story about how much it costs to raise salmon. BPA isn't the agency in charge of all 13 species of endangered salmon and steelhead. The article made it sound like it is okay to fish for endangered salmon when in fact you can only keep fin clipped salmon or threatened salmon as defined by the ESA. I get mad when I read this crap. I feel like writing a letter to the ignorant author but it would be like banging my head on the wall.
