In lake like that you will find largemouth. It is time to start thinking about bass and they can be caught this time of year. To stack things in your favor try to select days where you expect the water temperatures to be stable or better yet climbing. Fishing after a couple days of warmer days and nights is best. Having rising temps is probably more important than the actual temperatures. For that reason afternoons are often better than mornings. At this time of year I have had best look on slow presentations.

For large fish hard to beat a jig -n-pig. Also good methods are slow rolled spinner baits (like white) and hard or soft body stick baits fished slowly with lots of pauses. Like to target wood cover, docks, and emergent weeds. The fish can be at the deeper "breaks" (5 to 8 feet) or extemely shallow (a foot or less) but usually are not far from cover. As the temperatures creep into the 50s have also done very well with grubs, tube baits, etc and ocassional crankbaits.
