Fished Amber today, 7 March. The "strip" of water is now 25-30' wide and allows easy access to the southern end, which is completely open. The northern end of the lake is still iced in but is melting rapidly. About 10 of us showed up today. Nearly all were dunking bloodworms under strike indicators and getting good action. Most large fish, 18" and better, are being caught near the banks, with lots of smaller fish being caught further out. A couple guys fished within mere yards of the launch and tallied several large bows without having to expend any energy! I guess there's some benefits to ice cover!
