Fished for 3 hours today (a long time on the beach for me) and had a great time chasing SRCs. It was windy, very very windy, but when i was out there it was also sunny so it was nice and pleasant.
I started the day throwing a little tube fly i tied up yesterday and quickly had about 4 fish on 5 or 6 casts. Well seeing that there were a lot of fish around i put on a popper and started to have some fun. I turned a lot of fish, had some very agressive grabs, including fish knocking the fly up into the air, and leaping and trying to land on the fly and swamp it. Lots of fish to fish this way But you dont get the same amount of fish to hand so i switched back to an olive/white clouser and nailed a few more.
I think i ended up with 15-20 to hand. I very productive little excursion.
I'll be back at it tomorrow with a friend so hopefully we;ll get some good pics

FYI--- there are lots of smaller cuts out on the salt right now. fish in the 6-10" range and they are very fragile. Please use small hooks and make sure they are barbless. I was using a #6 and #8 today.
