The release sites are open for pheasant thru Thanksgiving. Not sure of the exact closing date (too lazy to check right now) but probably closes Nov. 30th.

After the release sites close to pheasant you can access those areas before dawn to set up decoys. As long as pheasant are open you are not allowed on the property until 8:00 am. The different release sites can provide good decoy hunting after a Dec flood.

Perfectly legal to hunt ducks out of a driftboat or a sled with the motor turned off and no longer moving due to the motor. The only restrictions being firearm restrictions usually in place by city or county ordinances and not the WDFW. For example nothing in the WDFW pamphlet would show the Samamish Slew as being closed to duck hunting but the Bothell PD would still probably ticket you.
