I'll never forget hooking into one of my largest kings (easily 40+chrome) on the Bogie on a tadpolly with 10lb test after fishing the majority of the day with kwickies and 25lb mono. Most the ho's came on the heavy line (go figure) and when the "big one" finally hit it had to be on the light gear. After a good twenty minutes of bull-doggin it finally came up and my dad (still rowing in fairly heavy water) tried to put it into the net but instead it got tired of playing, shot down into some timber, and ping I was left with Joe Gort below us laughing and asking if we needed any assistance. My advice go heavy if the bigguns are lurking.
