Yeah it is kind of tuff to stay up their and make a living, or have a family. I imagine Tom still owns the place? He was a bad drunk when I was there, I have some very funny stories. Did they ever let you in on the story of crashing a beaver full of people and guides into Portage on the Newhalen? One of the many reasons why I left.
