Well, young man I think I might just have the reel for you.

I don't feel its a TRUE 8 wt. reel, but it is marked 7/8, its cheap & I want to sell it.

So, if your just starting out, & looking to land a steelie on a bug rod this reel holds a full line 90' and 100 yards of backing. The drag can be cranked down, but I don't know how bad it will fade on a really hot fish. As I fished trout with it.

If you want to do some research on it, mine is an older Okuma Sierra 7/8. It has an adjustable drag, quick de-tach spools (3 of them) & you can switch the spool bearing around to right or left rewind. Some of the black finish is worn off, & I'm missing 1 spool bearing. Other than that its sitting in my rack & getting dusty....

I'll sell it for $25 + shipping.
