What do you guys think?
As a alumni, I have no problem with it. It seems a number of regents are opposed to this. I think it is the wave of the future for higher education. This has already taken place at other universities across the country.
So they name a building after a company rather then a person, like "Mary Gates Hall"? They've already done it with Bank of America Arena at Hec Ed. So it is OK for a athletic facility but not an academic building?
I say take the money and put up the sign.
$16 million isn't chump change. Not like firing Todd Turner and Tye Willingham for a couple $100,000 law scholarships ;\)
