I find myself perpetually scaling down and Spring grants 13+ hrs of daylight to work the water and cast with a vengeance. While relative drift length will dictate the number of pitches accrued,weight/length are factors to consider IMHO.

I've every Loomis float rod to the 12' 3" and a goodly smattering of other offerings within the ilk.

My go to Hammer is the 9' 6" 1141S...light,much backbone,fast tip and easily balanced. Steelhead hate it.
