They are thick in the Colville area. A lot more than when we were kids. I am not one to demonize them and had one for a pet for years but their #'s are a little out of control over there. I have had a lot of friends that have lost pets in hte last few years. The number of calls on them is three times what it use to be and my buddies uncle runs the game departments hounds to track the problem animals. Seems like he is out every week.
The hound hunting should have never been taken away in the first place. The numbers were good and it was some dumba$$ letting his hounds rip that cat up after it fell out of the tree playing on TV that sealed our doom. Sad when the warden and biologists say it is a bad idea and the public does it anyway. This just goes to show that we need to fight harder on the issues when the bans come up because once it is gone it is tough to get back no matter how many pets get taken out of yards.
