Over here on the east side I have seen a bunch (all ruffed). I went out a couple of days after the opener and they were still grouped up. I got two ruffed and missed a bunch of opportunities. I would start in the lower elevations this year. The high snow from last winter pushed them down low and that is where they started breeding. In the high ground, check the usual spots where there is a spring next to some gravel and youll find some blues. Hopes this helps
