You won't, however, find me needing anybody, much less my wife, defend my points of view, so I can only surmise that it is your own experience that you reference.

Just for the record, I too wish these "debates" were less orchestrated and turned into nothing more than a QandA period. The political polish doesn't do much for me, and frankly I'd like to see some suit-less wrangling.
