Some aren't necessarily "secrets"...just "sleepers"...people know of the river, and have heard there's fish there, but either haven't done it, can't figure out where to do it, or haven't had luck when they try it, so don't go back.

Seems to me that one of the pics in Mr. Vedder's new book came from one of those last winter...those are almost more fun than the *real* secret spots!
