Huh.

I always though that knocking off a fish, or breaking off a fish with a net was ENCOURAGED.

Personally, EVERY netting attempt I make at someone else's fish is to either bust it off or knock it off with my net.....

Not MY fault my netting job looks like someone tomahawk chopping at a fish.

Kev? Bob? Robbo? We need a re-wording of that rule. Maybe.

OTOH, do we want, or not want someone to just walk up to someone fighting a fish and bust the line (with the fish no where close to being netted) with their net. Probably not.

Play by the rules in "good spirit" of the SRC, and it won't be a problem. I can't blame anyone's crappy netting skills if my fish is "knocked off", or "busted off" by a net. Shiat happens.
