Obama is not my main concern at this point. What concerns me most is what Pelosi/Reid have in mind. The original 700 BILLION got an additional 110 BILLION in pure pork added.

Concessions will be made by both parties but in the long run this is going to cost us taxpayers TRILLIONS.

Hank:

I know its mind boggling but the numbers they are tossing around are Trillions, not Billions. While the resolution of this mess will be left to Obama, let us not forget whose watch it occurred on. Bush spent like a drunken sailor, and then ended his fiscal orgy with a 700 Trillion handout his corporate buddies who proved to be as incompetent as his administration. (Now that really was welfare!) I don't really know what Bush was, but it sure as hell was not a fiscally responsible Republican.
It's too early for us to know what Obama will be, but it would be hard to imagine he could be any worse. The big difference is Bush took office with a balanced budget, a large surplus and a nation respected by the world. Obama takes office with two wars, a huge deficit that is growing by the minute, an economic crisis unmatched since the great depression and seriously damaged international relationships.
We need to be supporting our president in a time of crisis. Anything less is unpatriotic. Sure criticize when he screws up, as he surely will, but for God’s sake we need to be as supportive as possible in these troubled times.
