I used to run into a guy on the Sky back in the 60's that reminds me of Merg!
Would pop out of the bushes while I was pulling on the oars and laugh and say HI and then run down the bank talking to me until he ran out of space.
Always had a pole in his hand and would tell me what a great fisherman he was, probably was he spent most of his life on the bank!
