I was wondering what the "slush" was as well. I like to have my anglers thumb the plugs out into position. This is done by keeping the rod tip low to the water, let out a quick 10 ft and then slowly fish the final 30' out or so. This technique puts alot of the plug control into the hands of the people holding the rods.
