BCB-
It has been my experience that sculpin pattens are effective on most rivers. Have to say that I have caught steelhead on them on every river that I have fished them. Are they better than other steelhead patterns? I don't think so; as mentioned one can catch a steelhead on virtually anything you want to tie on. I just like the looks of them and fish them with confidence which ultimately is the bottom line for steelhead success.

Have had succes with them both on the strip and on the swing. And as mentioned have take hatchery and wild fish as well as summer and winter steelhead and chums, coho, sea-runs, bull trout, Chinook, pinks, rainbows and even whitefish on them.
