TH, I'm in the market for a STR1084C so if Mavrick's $150 didn't pry the rod free, what do you want (if you still have it)?

Your 1082 looks tempting but I'm going to be using 10lb mainline in the Situk -- 100 ft wide, 3 foot average depth, 3-4 mph current but lots of downed timber. Need a rod that has the backbone to stop a determined 15lb fresh steelhead from reaching a root wad or submerged brush along shore.

Recently returned and was using a 1024C which was too heavy -- losing feel on the drift -- but certainly didn't feel too heavy when a large fish was on the other end (esp. 50 yards downstream in current).
