Last year the Charlottes was in general...not that good.
That being said, most of the coast was slower than normal.
I know a ton of guy's that went to the charlotttes last year and the weather was horrible and the fishing was only a mear imagine of seasons past.
If you have deep pockets and an extended period of time, the Charlottes is probably a good place to catch some decent kings on average...
The giants tend to be thin up that way and as the fish move south towards Rivers Inlet...they bunch up more and when they get closer to hakaii, etc....you start to here of the odd large beast being caught.
Last year rivers produced 4 fish over 75lbs that I know of but if you compare that to the amount of gear that was dropped in the water over the summer in that area....your chances are probably better if you try to win the lottery.
