I'd really have to see it. It almost sounds like an old hardy or jw young mooching reel. It could be a shakespeare, but I have seen a few of the two I mentioned with no markings that were "hardy's". Could be worth about $100+ depending on who made it. A hardy would be up in the $200 range.
