The TH 1384 is a nice light steelie noodle blank. As far as power, ??? it is a moderate action, med.Lt rod so it wasn't designed to have a ton of power. It feel light in your hands, but is really designed to handle steelhead and salmon on light mainline and lighter leaders..
I like my noodle rods built into spinning rods, and most of the 1384 we have built this year have been spinning... maybe one casting for every 5 spinning rods.
I think the tech. of casting small baits and spinners is done much easier with a spinning rod.?? but that is personal preference.

We actually sell more 1382 (11'6" 2-6#) now these are noodle rods...
