well i picked up an okuma tonight from jerrys surplus in everett,the only metaloid they had was the md20 but they had the epixor ef40 so i got that one,it seems like it is pretty much the same reel as the metaloid 40 the drag seems to be really smooth,it's got the 10 bearings and they aren't kidding when they say instant hook sets because there is no slop in this reel at all.on my old shimano it had about a half a turn of slop but that is because it's a quick fire so thanks for all the help with this and now hopefully i will get to try it out tomorrow,later Bruce
