I jammed a nasty sliver deep in my finger earlier this week, and after multiple attempts at removing it and only managing to fray the end of the damn thing, I finally resorted to a trip to the Doc's office. The doc came in and shot my finger with a deadener and took the million dollar sliver forceps and pulled out the sliver which was about a quarter inch long and lodged perfectly vertically. Any way, the Doc showed me this sliver grabber and said the one he carries has removed at least 20 slivers from his kids as they grew up. He also said that I probably could have easily gotten the sliver out if I had one. (tweezers were useless) I looked at the tool and it is incredibly simple, effective, and well made. I found THIS SITE to be the cheapest and ordered 10 of the things. They are going out for Christmas.
