Don't misunderstand me, I think it's great that he's taking the responsibility to care for his family. But I'm not overly proud that in America--the richest, most powerful nation on Earth--the only recourse for a near-middle aged woman with cancer is to watch her husband go away to the Army in a time of war just so she can get health care. Something's just not right with that. It's like using the Department of Defense as a social welfare organization. Not quite what it's intended for.
