Avid,

Yeah, I do watch movies and listen to music. But I have limits. I've cut way back on visits to the movie theater because they force feed paying customers damn TV commercials. I won't pay $9 for a ticket AND watch the fvkin' commercials. That's over my limit. I listen to music and buy a few CDs, but I don't attend many concerts because I'm generally unwilling to pay $130 a seat to sit 150' or more away from the performance. That's over my limit.

And I watch a few pro games. I enjoy excellence at just about anything. But I've only been to SAFECO FIELD once, cuz I don't want to pay what the players are getting for salaries. I enjoy sports, but I vote with my wallet when it makes sense to me.

Whataya' mean, "damn hippies?" Doesn't make any more sense out of context than "damn capitalists." I don't have a problem with anyone doing what they love; I think that's a good thing. Nor do I have a problem with them making a living, even a good one, doing what they love. That's an even better thing. But I don't have to support uber-million $$ a year salaries, whether it's actors, musicians, or athletes, so I don't.
