I remember threading them on one end or the other and you got a slower or faster spin, as per the pitch of the wings (I think).
When I was a kid I was goofy over ray-bob's when I was 9-10yo's, then glo-go's in my early teens, tried Sammy Specials (didn't like 'em..still have some "cards" of them somewhere), then spin-n-glo's in high school and college (with the letters on the wings..Old School) ...finally...older-wiser-and lazier-whatever color of corky I grab.
