step up to a quality rod like wright&mcgill they hold up like no other rod. i saw a guide up on the sheesgah use his eagleclaw rod to beat a path into a new hole. he was smacking trees, vines, bears, one moose. the rod held up and to this day is still landing kings. personally brewer prefers a yeller colored blank, have yet to pop a yella blanked rod.
