When I was a kid, I got .50 a week allowance. I had a choose between two comic books @ .10 each and one triple teaser @ .29 each or two comic books and one humongous ice cream cone @ .25 each. Standard cones were .10. I usually chose the Triple Teaser. I could get a Flatfish for .49 but that was a real splurge.
