A worthy cause but something that is a little troublesome when you read their advice on "What to do when an adult is being impatient with a child in public".

http://www.jeffersoncountypublichealth.org/pdf/kids_what_to_say.pdf

Looks like it was adapted by the Port Townsend Kiwanis from a similar campaign in Virginia. If someone is being impatient with their child in public I'll probably mind my own business, unless that child is being horsewhipped in front of me.

Worthy cause but perhaps a little over the top with it's citizen watch on symptoms of child abuse or neglect. If someone is openly beating their child in public,......well, they're an idiot.

Am I going to go sniffing around my neighbor's houses to determine if the parent and child "rarely touch or look at each other" as a sign of abuse or neglect,..............not likely.
