Little update on the Yamaha.
Fired up the motor today and all went well. It sounds good off of the ear muff type water connection. Can't get it on the back of my boat for a real water test. Electric start and pull start worked good.
I'm waiting for 1 little 3/16th" bolt for the tilt and the plastic hose nozzle for the interior wash down. Hope to get the cowling painted this week too. Not sure if it's gonna be a perfect match on the paint color but it's what Yamaha says to use..
A few scratches but the motor has very few hours on it. Interior looks brand new.
I'm gonna try to get $1400.00 for it. It should be ready to go next week when the parts arrive. It is ready now without the parts or paint but just gonna try to make it look a little better. About a 5 minute fix plus the painting. And of course if it doesn't sell I'll try a lower price but I hope it sells for what I am asking. Never know, ya know!
The Yamaha shop in Aberdeen has the same motor new and wants $2700.00 plus sales tax for it. They also have the 2 parts I need on order and said they will be in Tuesday???? Parts cost less then the freight.
High book is $1700.00 and average is $1500.00 is what U.S. Marine in Olympia told me the other day on the phone..
You can probably find the motor on Google. T8EXH 2007 model with High thrust prop. U.S.Marine said it is a very sought after motor. I would keep if it was power tilt. Still has warranty until Dec. 2010.
