For some reason I always have a gut feeling that's the way I will go. Guess it is just the irony of them pulling me over so many times for not wearing a seat belt or some other minor offense. So far they have come close to killing me, but haven't suceeded yet. The closet came 2 summers ago when they did a great no-pursuit pursuit. What that really means is that they still chase the guy, they just lag behind and don't put on their sirens or lights. The result for me was a manic pulling between me and the curb going about 95 miles an hour trying to escape the multitude of officers who weren't chasing him. I actually was starting to pull into the curb when he barely squeeze through. Fifteen seconds later the parade of officers "not chasing him" went flying by, with no sirens or lights. The rest of the attempts were less periously, like driving through an unmarked intersection at night at high speed with no lights on, or mistaking my house for another one and starting to rush in at 2am (luckily my wife heard them and I got to the door in time to stop them). I hope I am wrong, but each time they get closer to pulling it off.
