Last time I swam a mile it was called "survival training" and it involved me spending an hour in open water then three hours being treated for hypothermia. We didn't get wetsuits. It wasn't timed. It was point A to point B. It was also in early May before the water warms up. Try it some time. Puts things in perspective. Like for instance how nice it is to be in warm sweats on a couch in front of a TV. Might want a friend to follow in a boat incase you fatigue & cramp and need to be hauled out like a dead fish. Not alot of 'high-fivin' white guys' in spandex going on there.

Anyway, since you asked, I spend occasional evenings provoking idiots on this board like tonight, most watching movies with my family, others reading. My days I spend keeping the house ship-shape and my daughter busy. There's also flying all over seeing things I wish I could have seen when younger, loading the family into the camper and dragging them across the Western US, and cramming in fishing trips between lessons, recitals & teacher conferences. There's also cooking. I do up a kick ass rack of ribs.
