This is an interesting discussion to a native wet-sider. I've never shot a scope equiped rifle. Open sight 30-30 for blacktail is all I ever had. Longest shot ever was only 30 yd., which is why I took up bow hunting. One of you guys will have to show me how to use a scoped rifle some day.
