Ouch! I've felt that pain a couple times in my life, once on salmon, once with sturgeon.

Look on the bright side.....now you have an excuse to upgrade to the latest-greatest gear!(field research, right?) Although, the loss of that vintage Ambasadeur sucks. At least it went down ablazing.
