About Fontal and Hannon Lake access. This has had my attention for a long time. I have finally found out the hard and long way the State of Washington Dept of Natural Resources has sold this land but not the lake to the Arch Doieses in Seattle. Further what i have found out is we (the sportsman of washington are supposedto have access to both of these lakes during open season except for closeures of high fire danger. I have never found out what the sportsman got in return for this land sale of public lands. No one woll bother to answer my questions. Even Wayne Kruse on the Everett Herald was contacted and hasnt seem to get any answers. Maybe as a whole big bunch of sportsman we can get this resolved. Either we gain access from, the original routes or the State Of Washington Can quit planting these lakes and pay the sportsman of washington for the loss of use or put new roads into these lakes. Havent fished Hannon Lake for more than 10 years due to the gates by the church. Infact if someone was to research the land salews in this area they would fing the chatholic church now owns a whole big bunch of land and is in tyhe process of closing it to public entry including the old elwell campground area which was a dnr camp ground for the public. What did the general population of washington receive in return? NOTHING AS FAR AS I CAN SEE.
Just my 2 cents worth.
