I don't have kids, but I would guess that if you wanted a lake where you could camp (for free) and catch a lot of fish, I would go to Lake Antilon above Lake Chelan. The Brown trout fishing is not as good this year as I have seen in past years (though I've heard it is decent in the main body section of the lake) but you can always count on large pumpkinseed sunfish and the occasional big Crappie. If you want specifics, I encourage you to read my latest report on this lake at Washingtonlakes.com . Bring spinners, bait, or whatever the kids want and pick up some trash when you're there.
