I was out this morning fishing Lake Washington from shore around the Arboritum, and caught a rather nice sized fish on a worm and bobber. Only thing is, I'm not sure what it was I caught. This fish was about 18 inches long, and basically looked like the love child of a carp and a sucker. At first I thought it was a carp, but carp have little whiskers, which this fish didn't, and they don't have big, fleshy lips like this one did. The fish had a pointy nose, with the mouth on the underside rather in front like most fish do. Other than that, it did look very much like a carp, with large, coarse scales, and being brown on the top and bronze on the bottom. Even though it looked like it had enough meat on it to be worth cleaning, I released it because I wasn't sure if it would taste good or not. I've seen pictures of fish like it, but can't remember for the life of me what it's called. Any ideas?
