Had to shovel a 5' drift of snow in front of my garage door so I couldl get the truck out to go to the gym. We had blizzard last night, which re-arranged the snow into some interesting piles, but why does it always want to pile up in front of the garage?

This is my first winter out here and what a difference from Seattle. It's a lot colder and more snow, but yet everything just coninues like normal. My neighborhood streets are plowed every day, the parking lots for the stores are plowed, its easy to get around, and no one abandons their cars. Saw that picture in the Times this morning of all of the abandoned cars on I-5.

It was 9 degrees this morning and we are supposed to go down to -14 tonight. More snow coming this weekend. Don't mind the snow, but that blizzard last night into this morning kind of sucked.

My neighbor insists I use his ATV with the snow plow on it, so I am taking him up on it today. Also going to do some drives for older people who can't shovel.
