This is why we need a free and energetic press...one that's not owned part and parcel by the very corporations they ought to be keeping honest.

If Chertoff's not breaking laws...which I'm sure he's not...it's the job of those interviewing him to point out what company he owns, and who that company works for, and how his comments affect their bottom line...but it's likely that there is at least a cozy relationship between those corporations and the ones that own the media companies, if not an outright business relationship.

Same $hit, different day.
